Turkish motor vehicle output up 15 percent in June

In June this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 125,451 units, increasing by 15 percent year on year and up 42.45 percent month on month, according to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automative Manufacturers' Association (OSD). In the January-June period of this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 667,592 units, up 18 percent year on year.

In June alone, passenger car output amounted to 73,928 units, while commercial car output totaled 50,523 units, both up 10 percent on year-on-year basis. In the January-June period, passenger car output totaled 391,977 units, up nine percent, and commercial vehicle production amounted to 275,615 units, rising by 36 percent, both compared to January-June 2014.
