Turkish motor vehicle output up 15 percent in July

In July this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 112,728 units, increasing by 15 percent year on year and down 10.1 percent month on month, according to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automative Manufacturers' Association (OSD). In the January-July period of this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 780,320 units, up 18 percent year on year.
 
In July alone, passenger car output amounted to 62,465 units, increasing by two percent, while commercial car output totaled 50,263 units, up by 30 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In the January-July period, passenger car output totaled 454,442 units, up eight percent, and commercial vehicle production amounted to 325,878 units, rising by 36 percent, both compared to the January-July period of 2014.
