The Turkish Steel Exporters’ Association (CIB) has stated that it is getting ready to open new markets for its exporters. Accordingly, the CIB is organizing trade missions to Iran and Kuwait between November 15 and 19. The trade mission consisting of 22 companies will first meet domestic companies in Iran for new collaborations and will observe industrial developments in the country. After Iran, the mission will visit Kuwait and hold bilateral business meetings.

Turkey has long-established political and trade ties with both Iran and Kuwait. Both countries are among our key export markets. We aim to strengthen these ties with new collaborations and partnerships through these trade missions. The Turkish steel industry has been facing many challenges in the last two years regarding exports. We now are working to compensate for losses and improve our exports. We believe that we will come back from Iran and Kuwait having achieved new collaborations,” said CIB chairman Namık Ekinci.
