Turkish PPGI imports down 72 percent in January-February

In February this year, Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) imports amounted to 2,490 mt, down by 72.8 percent year on year, while the revenue from these imports decreased by 63 percent year on year to $2.33 million, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
 
In the first two months of the current year, Turkey's PPGI imports decreased by 72 percent to 4,703 mt, while the revenue from these imports amounted to $4.3 million, down 61.4 percent, both year on year.
 
In the given period, China ranked first among Turkey's PPGI import sources, supplying 1,280 metric tons, down 87.88 percent year on year. China was followed by Italy and Belgium, with their PPGI exports to Turkey amounting to 972 metric tons and 968 metric tons respectively.
