Turkish PPGI exports down 78.40 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports decreased by 78.40 percent year on year to 4,691 metric tons and were down 55.84 percent month on month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The revenue from these exports amounted to $5.56 million, down 75.30 percent year on year and decreasing by 53.19 percent month on month.
 
In January of the current year, Romania was Turkey's top export destination for PPGI, receiving 954,000 mt, down 60.85 percent year on year. Romania was followed by Azerbaijan which imported 901,000 mt of PPGI from Turkey, down 71.11 percent compared to January 2013.
