Turkish motor vehicle output up 31 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 128,121 units, rising by 31 percent year on year and down 18 percent month on month, according to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD).
 
In January alone, passenger car output amounted to 93,683 units, increasing by 61 percent, while commercial vehicle output totaled 34,438 units, down 13 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
 
The overall production capacity utilization rate of the Turkish automotive industry was 79 percent in January this year.
