Turkish metal producers' sales prices up 9.37% in Dec

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in December last year the producer price index (PPI) for Turkish industry in general rose by 1.11 percent over November and was up 6.97 percent year on year, while an average rise of 4.48 percent was registered for the latest 12 months.
 
In December, the PPI for the domestic basic metal industry remained almost unchanged on month-on-month basis and was up 9.37 percent compared to December 2012. Meanwhile, the average change in the PPI for the latest 12 months was -0.96 percent.

On the other hand, in December last year the PPI for domestic manufacture of metal products, except machinery, rose 1.27 percent compared to the previous month and was up 7.49 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the sector in question, an average increase of 1.45 percent in the PPI index was registered in the latest 12 months.
