Turkish metal producers' sales prices up 14.22% in March

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in March this year the domestic producer price index (PPI) for Turkish industry in general rose by 0.74 percent over February and was up 12.31 percent year on year, while an average rise of 6.95 percent was registered for the latest 12 months.
 
In March this year, the domestic PPI for Turkey's basic metal industry increased by 0.39 percent on month-on-month basis and was up 14.22 percent compared to March 2013. Meanwhile, the average change in the domestic PPI for the latest 12 months was 4.40 percent.

On the other hand, in March of the current year the domestic PPI for domestic manufacture of metal products, except machinery, rose 0.10 percent compared to February and was up 15.66 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the sector in question, an average increase of 6.43 percent in the PPI index was registered for the latest 12 months.
