Turkish metal manufacturing capacity usage down in Dec from Nov

According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in December this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 77.9 percent, decreasing by 0.6 percentage points compared to December 2010 and down 1.3 percentage points compared to November this year.

Meanwhile, in December the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, rose by 2.4 percentage points year on year reaching 71 percent - down from 72.3 percent recorded in November this year.

Capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, came to 75.5 percent, decreasing from 76.9 percent in November this year and remaining unchanged compared to 75.6 percent in December 2010.
