Domestic sales in
Turkey's home appliance market increased by 6.6 percent on year-on-year basis in August this year, totaling 678,912 units, according to the data released by the Turkish Home Appliance Industrialists Association (BESD). Meanwhile, domestic home appliance sales almost remained stable in August compared to July.
According to the BESD data, in August this year home appliance output in
Turkey decreased by 13.6 percent from July and by 11.6 percent year on year to 1,677,514 units. In August,
Turkey's home appliance exports were down 11.4 percent compared to the previous month and decreased by 16.2 percent from August 2012, amounting to 1,262,032 units, while
Turkey's domestic appliance imports in August totaled 57,442 units, falling 56 percent compared to July and down 33.5 percent compared to the same month of 2012.
