Turkish basic metal manufacturing capacity use falls in March from February

In March this year, the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 75.7 percent, down from 77 percent recorded in February, while the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 74 percent in March last year, according to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of Turkey.
                             
Meanwhile, in March of the current year the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, was 68.5 percent, increasing from 67.4 percent recorded in February and down from 71.2 percent in March last year.
 
The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was at 74.9 percent in March this year, down from the 75.4 percent recorded in the previous month and rising from 74.3 percent in the same month of 2016.
