In March this year, the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 74 percent, down from 74.3 percent recorded in February, while the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 72 percent in March 2015, according to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of Turkey.
Meanwhile, in March of the current year the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, was 71.2 percent, rising from 70.9 percent in February and down from 71.4 percent in March last year.
The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was at 74.3 percent in March this year, up from the 73.5 percent recorded in the previous month and rising from 72.4 percent in March 2015.
