Turkish basic metal manufacturing capacity usage stable in July

According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in July this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 77 percent, remaining unchanged compared to the previous month and down 1.2 percentage points compared to July 2011.

Meanwhile, in July of the current year the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, fell slightly by 0.2 percentage points year on year to 71.8 percent, up from 70.8 percent recorded in June.

The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was at 74.8 percent in July this year, indicating a slight increase of 0.2 percentage points compared to June and down from 75.4 percent in July 2011.
