Turkey's passenger car sales up 45.21 percent in January-June

In June this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey increased by 43.21 percent year on year and decreased by 26.2 percent month on month to 60,163 units, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD). In the given month, domestic sales of passenger cars in Turkey increased by 43.34 percent year on year and were down by 3.5 percent month on month to 67,766 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles went up by 42.74 percent year on year and decreased by 1.45 percent month on month to 18,392 units.
 
Meanwhile, in the January-June period this year domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles increased by 50.79 percent year on year, amounting to 432,550 units. In the given period, domestic sales of passenger cars in the country increased by 45.21 percent year on year to 327,846 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles rose by 71.4 percent to 104,704 units, both on year-on-year basis.
