According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in August this year Turkey's season and calendar adjusted monthly industrial production increased by 2.9 percent as compared to the previous month, while the calendar adjusted index was up 7.2 percent compared to August 2014.
In August of the current year, the index for the production of basic metals in Turkey increased by 4.3 percent month on month and was down by 1.5 percent year on year.
The index for the production of fabricated metal products in August increased by 3.2 percent month on month and was up by 5.8 percent year on year.
