Turkey’s wire rod exports up 43.6 percent in January-July

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in July this year Turkey's wire rod exports decreased by 27.8 percent year on year to 47,444 metric tons, down 40 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $21.93 million, down 39.4 percent month on month and falling by 20.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the first seven months, Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 43.6 percent to 791,621 mt, while the revenue from these exports increased by 62.4 percent to $353.51 million, both year on year.
 
In the first seven months of the current year, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Israel which received 143,433 metric tons. Israel was followed by the US with 101,996 metric tons and Haiti with 61,968 metric tons.
