Turkey’s steel profile exports down 23 percent in Jan from Dec

According to the data provided by Turkey's Steel Exporters' Association (CIB), in January this year Turkey's total steel profile exports amounted to 131,579 metric tons, rising by 5.7 percent year on year and down 23.3 percent compared to the previous month of December. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $101 million, up by 10.2 percent compared to January 2011 and down 25.2 percent month on month.

In the first month of 2012, Turkey's steel profile exports rose significantly to South Korea and to Saudi Arabia which was the greatest steel profile export destination in the whole of 2011.
