Turkey’s steel pipe exports down two percent in 2011

According to the statistics provided by Turkey's Steel Exporters' Association (CIB), in December 2011 Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 158,101 metric tons, falling by 9.3 percent year on year and up 21.87 percent compared to November 2011. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $158.6 million, rising by 1.9 percent compared to December 2010 and up 18.2 percent month on month.

On the other hand, in the whole year of 2011 Turkey's steel pipe exports stood at 1.7 million metric tons, down 1.95 percent year on year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $1.7 billion, increasing by 10.54 percent as compared to 2010.
