According to the statistics provided by the Turkish Steel Pipe Manufacturers Association (CEBID), in the first 11 months of this year Turkey's steel pipe exports decreased by 0.9 percent year on year to 1.69 million mt. In the given period, the value of these exports decreased by 5.35 percent on year-on-year basis to $1.51 billion.
In the January-November period of the current year, the largest export markets for Turkish steel pipes were Iraq, the US and Algeria. The value of Turkish steel pipe exports to Iraq increased by 11.27 percent to $321.52 million, while the value of exports to the US declined by 21.06 percent to $208.30 million and the value of exports to Algeria increased by 28.64 percent to $174.67 million, all year on year.
In November this year, Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 144,538 metric tons, decreasing by 28.68 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and down 7.57 percent compared to October. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $125.93 million, down 30.23 percent compared to November 2012 and falling 3.51 percent month on month.
