Turkey’s steel exports rise 9.42 percent in value in May over April

According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters' Association (TIM), in May this year Turkey's steel exports totaled $1.18 billion in value, increasing by 43.78 percent year on year and up 9.42 percent over the previous month. The country's steel exports have exceeded the $1 billion mark for the last three months.

Meanwhile, Turkey's steel product exports in the January-May period of this year totaled $4.79 billion, up 2.06 percent year on year.
