Turkey's slab imports decreased by nine percent to 140,000 mt, its
billet imports declined by 32.2 percent to 140,000 mt, flat product imports moved down by 8.3 percent to 561,000 and long product imports rose by 17.7 percent to 102,000 mt, all year on year. In the given month,
Turkey's
billet exports fell by 81.2 percent to 66,000 mt, its slab exports decreased by 62.2 percent to minimal levels, flat product exports were down 28.8 percent to 111,000 mt and long product exports increased by 1.8 percent to 949,000 mt, all compared to October 2012.

Turkey's steel imports increased by 24 percent to 12.05 million mt, with a total value of $10.48 billion, up 12.8 percent, both year on year. In this period,

billet imports increased by 22 percent to 2.53 million mt, its slab imports rose by 199.5 percent to 1.74 million mt, flat product imports increased by 9.9 percent to 5.99 million mt and long product imports increased by 7.2 percent to 1.18 million mt, all year on year.

Turkey's steel exports fell by 6.6 percent to 15.81 million mt, with a value of $13.09 billion, down 8.4 percent, both compared to the same period of 2012. In this period,

billet exports decreased by 46.5 percent to 1.42 million mt, flat product exports increased by 35.6 percent to 1.96 million mt and long product exports decreased by 5.1 percent to 9.32 million mt, all year on year.
