According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters' Association (TIM), in July this year Turkey's steel exports totaled $1.26 billion in value, increasing by 1.8 percent year on year and down 15.4 percent as compared to the previous month.
In July this year, Turkey's motor vehicle sector had the highest export value of the country's industrial sectors with $1.5 billion, decreasing by 22.3 percent compared to July 2011, while steel was the sector with the fourth highest export value.
On the other hand, in the first seven months of this year, Turkey's steel export value came to $9.33 billion, rising by 4.1 percent year on year.
