According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters' Association (TIM), in September this year Turkey's steel exports totaled $1.03 billion in value, decreasing by 13.6 percent year on year and up 8.5 percent as compared to the previous month.
In September this year, Turkey's motor vehicle sector had the highest export value of the country's industrial sectors with $1.96 billion, increasing by 31.3 percent compared to September 2012, while steel was the sector with the fourth highest export value.
On the other hand, in the first nine months of this year, Turkey's steel export value came to $10.5 billion, falling by 10.5 percent year on year.
