Turkey’s steel billet exports up 33.05 percent in June

According to the data provided by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in June this year Turkey's total steel billet exports amounted to 306,213 metric tons, increasing by 33.05 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $207.3 million, improving by 58.38 percent compared to June 2010.

In June, the average export price of Turkish steel billet amounted to $677.09/mt, increasing by $108/mt or 19.04 percent from June 2010 levels.

Meanwhile, in the first half of 2011, Turkey's steel billet exports declined by 33.23 percent, dropping to 1.20 million metric tons, while the revenue for these exports stood at $785,31 million, down by 15.76 percent, both compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
