In March this year, Turkey's seamless pipe imports amounted to 15,016 metric tons, down 34.7 percent year on year, while the value of these imports totaled $19.04 million, down 35.5 percent year on year, according to the statistics provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
In the January-March period, Turkey's seamless pipe imports increased by four percent to 58,316 mt, while the value of these imports amounted to $62.5 million, falling 19 percent, both year on year.
In the first three months, Turkey's seamless pipe imports from China, Turkey's largest seamless pipe import source since 2009, amounted to 40,561 metric tons. China was followed by Ukraine and Germany, with respectively 5,860 metric tons and 4,434 metric tons of seamless pipe exports to Turkey in the given period.
