Turkey’s scrap imports down 9.9 percent in July

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in July this year Turkey's steel scrap imports remained stable compared to June and were down 9.9 percent compared to the same month of 2011, amounting to 1.98 million metric tons.

Meanwhile, in the first seven months of 2012 Turkey's scrap imports amounted to 13.3 million mt, increasing 9.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
