Turkey’s rebar exports down four percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 495,481 metric tons, down 3.5 percent compared to October and falling slightly by 0.3 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $198.7 million, increasing by 10.9 percent compared to November 2015 and up two percent month on month.

In the January-November period of last year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 6.16 million mt, falling by four percent, while the value of these exports decreased by 16 percent to $2.3 billion, both year on year.
 
In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was the US which received 1,215,080 metric tons, down 0.02 percent year on year. The US was followed by the UAE with 1,029,369 metric tons and Egypt with 766,001 metric tons.
