In July this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 305,064 metric tons, down 32 percent compared to June and falling by 48 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $135.3 million, decreasing by 43.2 percent compared to June 2016 and down 29.5 percent month on month.
In the first seven months of the current year, Turkey's rebar export volume amounted to 3.44 million mt, falling by 17.3 percent, while the value of these exports decreased by 5.6 percent to $1.46 billion, both year on year.
In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was the US which received 573,986 metric tons, down 29.34 percent year on year. The US was followed by Yemen with 412,086 metric tons and Israel with 404,775 metric tons.
