According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in April this year Turkey's rebar (including round bar) exports amounted to 726,219 metric tons, decreasing by 11.25 percent compared to the previous month, following two months of month-on-month increase, and up 20 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $430 million, falling by 11.9 percent compared to the previous month and up 9.25 percent from April 2012.
Meanwhile, in the first four months of 2013 Turkey's rebar exports stood at 2.7 million metric tons, decreasing 5.2 percent compared to the same period of 2012, while the total revenue from these exports amounted to $1.6 billion, decreasing by 12.4 percent as compared to the same period of 2012.
