Turkey’s PPGI exports up 82.3 percent in January-February

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in February this year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 11,425 mt, up 190 percent year on year, while the revenue from these exports totaled $10 million, rising by 42.3 percent compared to the same month of 2016. 
 
In the January-February period this year, Turkey’s PPGI exports increased by 82.3 percent to 15,546 mt, while the revenue from these exports amounted to $13.9 million, up 97.9 percent, both year on year.
 
Algeria was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in the January-February period, with imports of 3,507 mt of PPGI from Turkey. In the given period, Algeria was followed by the US and Romania, whose PPGI imports from Turkey amounted to 2,000 mt and 1,860 mt respectively.
