Turkey’s PPGI exports decrease by 26.7 percent in January-September

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in September this year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 12,706 mt, increasing by 40 percent compared to the previous month and up 60 percent year on year, while the revenue from these exports totaled $10.34 million, up 34.3 percent month on month and rising by 46 percent compared to the same month of 2015. 
 
During the first nine months of the current year, Turkey’s PPGI exports decreased by 26.7 percent to 64,826 mt, while the revenue from these exports amounted to $55.8 million, down 30 percent, both year on year.
 
Bulgaria was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in the January-September period, with imports of 9,468 mt of PPGI from Turkey. In the given period, Bulgaria was followed by Libya and Russia, with Libya’s PPGI imports from Turkey amounting to 4,918 mt, while Russia received 4,346 mt of PPGI from Turkey in this period.
