Turkey’s industrial turnover index for basic metals manufacture down 46.7 percent in July

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK), Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index (with base year 2005 = 100) reached 151.8 in July this year, decreasing 12.7 percent year on year.

Among the industry sub-sectors in Turkey, in July the mining sector index declined to 206.1 from 222.5, down 7.4 percent, while the manufacturing sector index dropped to 150.6 from 172.8, down 12.8 percent, both compared with the same month of the previous year.

In July, the highest decrease rate in the industrial turnover index was in the manufacture of basic metals, which saw a drop of 46.7 percent year on year.
