Turkey’s HRC exports up 15.2 percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey's total hot rolled coil (HRC) exports increased by 10.5 percent year on year to 91,777 metric tons, down 46.6 percent month on month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $31.05 million, falling by 51.5 percent month on month and down 39 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.


 
In the first eleven months of the previous year, Turkish hot rolled coil exports amounted to 1.33 million mt, up 15.2 percent, while the value of these exports decreased by 16.1 percent to $567.6 million, both year on year.
 
In the January-November period, the US ranked first among Turkey's HRC export destinations, with its HRC imports from Turkey down 21.04 percent year on year to 259,712 mt, followed by Italy which received 245,320 mt of HRC from Turkey in the given period.
