According to the statistics provided by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in June this year
Turkey's total hot rolled flat steel exports amounted to 195,106 metric tons, climbing by 267.33 percent year on year but down 13.91 percent compared to May this year. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $148.5 million, rising by 291.1 percent compared to June 2010 and decreasing 12.84 percent from May.
On the other hand, in the given month,
Turkey's cold rolled flat steel exports stood at 8,314 metric tons, down 22.22 percent year on year and down 41.53 percent compared to May this year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $8.36 million, increasing slightly by 0.40 percent as compared to June 2010 and down 37.19 percent compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, the highest increase in exports during the first half of this year was registered in hot rolled flat steel.
Turkey's hot rolled flat steel exports increased by 269.31 percent to 1.1 million metric tons, while its cold rolled flat steel exports came to 68,146 metric tons, down 2.8 percent, both compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
