Turkey’s GDP up 2.9 percent in 2014

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) has announced that Turkey's gross domestic product (GDP) in 2014 grew by 11.6 percent to TRY 1.75 trillion ($668.66 billion) in current prices and by 2.9 percent in constant prices to TRY 126.7 billion ($48.42 billion), both compared to the previous year.

Meanwhile, in 2014 Turkey's seasonal and calendar adjusted GDP increased by 2.9 percent compared to 2013.

According to the TUIK data, Turkey's manufacturing sector contributed 24.2 percent in constant prices to Turkey's overall GDP in 2014.
