Turkey’s February steel exports hit highest value since October 2008

According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters' Association (TIM), in February this year Turkey's steel exports totaled $1.31 billion in value, increasing by 62.87 percent year on year and up 33.83 percent over the previous month. This is the highest steel export value achieved since the start of the economic crisis in October 2008.

On the other hand, in the first two months of this year, Turkey's steel export value came to $2.28 billion, rising by 53.73 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
