Turkey's CRC imports up 13.2 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports remained unchanged at 54,198 mt compared to the previous month and were up 13.2 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $27 million, increasing by 1.12 percent month on month and up 38 percent year on year.


 
In January, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 25,597 mt, up 23.09 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Ukraine totaled 9,115 mt, falling by 2.71 percent compared to the same period of 2016.
