Turkey's coking coal imports down 7.68 percent in Jan from Dec

In January this year Turkey's coking coal imports totaled 554,399 mt, up 21.98 percent year on year and decreasing by 7.68 percent on month-on-month basis, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports was $84.39 million, up 17.48 percent year on year and decreasing by 10.46 percent month on month.

In January this year, Turkey's coking coal imports from the US increased by 3.56 percent year on year to 300,508 mt. The US was followed by Canada with 164,997 mt of coking coal exports to Turkey in the given month.
