According to the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK), Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index in January this year increased by 22.8 percent year on year and was up 7.2 percent month on month, following the 17.3 percent year-on-year increase recorded in December.
In January, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey increased by 28.8 percent year on year and registered a 7.5 percent rise from the previous month, after an increase of 19.6 percent in December compared to November. Meanwhile, in January of the current year, the industrial turnover index for fabricated metal product manufacturing, except machinery and equipment, in Turkey increased by 27.7 percent year on year and by 11.5 percent from the previous month.
