Turkey's basic metal production up 7.8 percent in May

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in May this year Turkey's season and calendar adjusted monthly industrial production decreased by one percent compared to April, while the calendar adjusted index was up 3.3 percent compared to May 2013.
 
In May, the index for the production of basic metals in Turkey increased by 3.3 percent month on month and rose by 7.8 percent compared to May 2013.
 
The index for the production of fabricated metal products in May increased by 4.9 percent month on month and was up by 4.6 percent year on year.
