Turkey's automotive sales up 14.75 percent October

In the January-October period of this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey decreased by 16.18 percent year on year to 540,071 units, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD). In the given period, domestic sales of passenger cars in Turkey decreased by 16.37 percent to 417,582 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles fell by 15,54 percent to 122,489 units, both on year-on-year basis.
 
Meanwhile, in October this year domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles increased by 14.75 percent year on year and remained unchanged as compared to September, amounting to 66,573 units. In the given month, domestic sales of passenger cars in the country increased by 8.15 percent year on year to 50,814 units and increased by 3.15 percent month on month, while sales of light commercial vehicles rose by 42.89 percent year on year to 15,759 units and were down 8.74 percent month on month.
