Turkey to issue Erdemir tender this month

Tender for the sale of majority stake in the Turkey's largest flat steel producer Eregli Demir Celik Fabrikalari TAS (Erdemir) is expected to be issued this month. In the tender, apart from the 46.12% share held by the Turkish Privatization Agency, shares of the Development Bank of Turkey will be sold. The tender for 52.36% shares of Erdemir will be issued after the final details of the privatization have been set, officials report. Arcelor, Mittal Steel, Corus, Severstal, Novolipetsk Iron & Steel and EvrazHolding were among the foreign producers, which expressed interest in Erdemir tender. Moreover Turkish producers Kibar Holding, and Borusan also showed interest in the tender.
