Turkey introduces duty-free import quota for steel wire

Turkey’s Ministry of Economy has announced that it has introduced a duty-free quota for steel wire imports.
 
Accordingly, by the end of December 31, 2017, a maximum of 6,000 mt of steel wire is allowed to be imported without paying any import duties. Importers are required to obtain an import license from the Ministry of Economy to benefit from this tariff quota. 
 
The products that are subject to tariff quota fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7217.10.50.00.12, 7217.10.50.00.13, 7217.10.90.00.00, 7217.20.50.00.12, 7217.20.50.13 and 7217.20.90.00.00.
