Turkey imposes additional customs duty on certain pipe imports

Turkey’s Ministry of Economy has announced that it has decided to impose 30 percent additional customs duty on imports of certain tubes and pipes with a diameter exceeding 200 millimeters.

The duties will be applied to the imports of the mentioned products from countries other than EU member states, EFTA-member states, Israel, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Morocco, West Bank and Gaza Strip, Tunisia, Egypt, Georgia, Albania, Jordan, Chile, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Mauritius, Moldova, South Korea and Malaysia.

The products in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7303.00.10.00.11, 7303.00.10.00.12, 7303.00.90.00.11, 7303.00.90.00.12 and 7303.00.90.00.19.
