Turkey's Ministry of Economy has announced that it has imposed antidumping (AD) duty on stainless welded pipe from Malaysia and Vietnam. Accordingly, the antidumping duty stands at 25.27 percent for both countries.

The investigation was launched on December 2014 upon the application lodged by Turkish producer Vena Paslanmaz Çelik Boru ve Profil San. Tic. A.Ş, claiming that stainless welded pipe products were transported to Malaysia and Vietnam and then sent to Turkey to circumvent the antidumping duties in force against China and Taiwan.

The current antidumping duties for Taiwan and China range from 7.89 percent to 14.65 percent and from 13.82 percent to 25.27 percent respectively.

The products subject to antidumping duty currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7306.61.10.00.00, 7306.40.20.90.00 and 7306.40.80.90.00.
