The World Trade Organization (WTO) has announced that Turkey has notified the WTO Secretariat that it requests WTO dispute consultations with the United States regarding the countervailing duties (CVD) imposed by the US on imports of certain pipe and tube products from Turkey.

According to the WTO, Turkey alleges that certain substantive and methodological aspects of the determinations and the imposition of the countervailing duties were inconsistent with the WTO's agreement on subsidies and countervailing measures and the general agreement on tariffs and trade.
