Spanish seamless tube and pipe producer Tubos Reunidos has announced it will open a new commercial office in Dubai in order to lead the group's commercial activities in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Iraq.

Tubos Reunidos aims to satisfy the growing demand coming from the oil & gas and petrolchemical industries in the Middle East. In this area, demand for seamless tubular products is increasing steadily, also thanks to the construction of new infrastructure, including power plants, linked to the industrialization of the countries in question.

Currently, Tubos Reunidos' export sales represent 86 percent of its total sales, with a significant share of exports going to the Middle East. Contrary to the collapse witnessed in Europe, in 2012 apparent demand for seamless tubular products in the Middle East increased by 13 percent year on year.
