Germany-based steel scrap supplier TSR Recycling, one of Europe's leading steel and metal recycling companies, will acquire another German steel recycler, INTERSEROH NRW GmbH, from INTERSEROH Scrap & Metals Holding GmbH, TSR Recycling said in a written statement. The parties have agreed on the acquisiton, while final confirmation is awaited from Germany's Federal Cartel Office.

"With continuing weak economic development and the resulting non full-use of existing units, a bundling of processing capacities is a commercial necessity. We believe that by taking over INTERSEROH NRW, we shall be able to sustainably strengthen the position of TSR in North Rhine-Westphalia", explained Edwin Leijnse, CEO of TSR Group.

The sale of Dortmund-based INTERSEROH NRW GmbH includes the sites in Dortmund, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Münster and Werdohl, with a total of 98 employees.
