Total coal reserves in Jiangxi estimated at 4.67 billion mt

After an overall estimation of the underlying coal reserves throughout the province of Jiangxi in the southeast of China, total reserves of 4.67 billion mt have been estimated. The figure in question is 588 million mt more than the total reserves estimated in the province's third estimation project in 1994.
 
The estimation project was launched by the Jiangxi Institute of Coal Geology for Exploration and Research, which divided the five coal-bearing regions in the province into a total of 41 coal districts.
