TMK to supply premium connections for Rosneft’s Vankor oil and gas field

Russia's largest oil and gas pipe producer TMK has announced the receipt of an order from the leading company in the Russian petroleum industry, Rosneft, for the supply of TMK FMC Premium threaded casings which will be used in the development of the Vankor oil and gas field located in Eastern Siberia.

Under the scope of the agreement, which was signed following the successful testing at Vankor in September 2008, before the end of the year TMK is to supply 1,000 mt of TMK FMC premium threaded casings of N80 and R110 grades with177.8 mm outside diameter and 9.2 mm wall thickness, produced at TMK's Tagmet plant in southwestern Russia.

Moreover, the order also includes the supply of drill string pup joints and crossovers.

The Vankor oil and gas field is expected to be one of the key fields supplying the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean Pipeline.
